Mudarse a otro país no es simple, mas bien bastante complicado en muchos aspectos. Aqu?te cuento un poco mi propia experiencia espero que te sea útil.

Si te mudas a otro país o ciudad, sea cual fuera la razón, trabajo, situación económica, familia, novio, novia, cambio de aire; todas las razones llegan a ser insuficientes pero necesarias a la hora de adaptarse.

Adaptarse a una nueva cultura, idioma, ambiente, clima, reglas sociales, y estilo de vida es muy duro y al mismo tiempo interesante. En mi caso personal, cuando me mude de país fue porque mi familia lo decidi?hacer, no segu?mis necesidades ya que era demasiado chica para seguir mi propio camino y demasiado grande para depender de sus decisiones. Sin embargo segu?las decisiones de mi familia.

Al principio de mi llegada, decid?tomarme todo fácilmente como si fuera irreal, ya que era muy duro enfrentar la realidad de que me aleje de mi vida, que deje todo lo que tenia atrás.

Decid?entonces que todo seria una gran vacación. Junto con el clima era caluroso, vivía cerca de la playa lo cual en mi país no lo tenía entonces mi vida seria un cuento total. A lo largo de los meses, no hacia mas nada que salir, comprar, conocer gente y divertirme sin ningún propósito de lo que iba a pasar en mi futuro.

Luego de unos meses conoc?a un chico que creía que cumplía con todas mis expectativas de hombre ideal. Popular, atractivo, simpático, deportista y demás. Comenzamos a salir y creía que era el sueño de mi vida hecho realidad, ¿Qu?podía ser mas perfecto que eso?

La realidad me cayo de golpe cuando me di cuenta que nada de lo que creía tan perfecto era as? sino una idealización de eso. Mi plata se me iba disminuyendo poco a poco, el novio perfecto no eran perfecto ni mucho menos sino que solo quería demostrarlo ser, y traía consigo más complicaciones y dilemas que me llevarían a sufrir en la relación. Mis alrededores no me satisfacían como yo pensaba que iban a hacerlo, pero decid?que debía intentarlo igual ya que todo parecía perfecto y no lo quería arruinar.

Luego vino el invierno y comenc?lo que había planeado antes de mi llegada: estudiar moda y convertirme en una súper diseñadora. Sin embargo me encontr?con un lugar lleno de gente que creía ser demasiado rara y competitiva, sin nada de ganas de socializar ni conocer a alguien nuevo. La presión de ser aceptado a la escuela de arte y ganar la simpatía de los profesores era mayor que otra cosa.

Me encontr?en situaciones difíciles como en una clase de moldes, tratando de hacer una pollera que me llevaría hacer un día entero solo el molde. Ah?me di cuenta que lo que necesitaba era estudiar en un idioma que me era cómodo, con gente parecida a mi con ganas de disfrutar la época universitaria y aprender pero con un propósito mas profundo que llenara mi alma.

Luego de un tiempo pens?y pens?que todo lo que creía necesario para mi felicidad en realidad no me satisfacía y no entendía mis sentimientos y descontento. Mi familia tampoco lo entendía. La verdad es que hay gente que sabe encontrar lo que busca más fácil que otra. Pueden seguir su propio instinto sin importar lo que dirán los demás, si aceptan o no. Hay otra, que les es más difícil y necesitan demostrar a los demás que logran lo que se proponen, sin saber si realmente lo desean.

En fin, mudarse de país es algo muy complicado que también tiene cosas positivas. Ayuda a abrir la cabeza y darse cuenta que uno no esta solo, que hay mucha gente diferente aparte de lo que uno creía único, que las culturas son diferentes y parecidas en muchos aspectos, que a pesar de que uno intente adaptarse a algo nuevo, en el fondo es importante mantener nuestra identidad. Debes seguir tus sentimientos siempre, porque tu solo sabes lo que es bueno para ti.

Instead we find out what the celebrities are wearing. We look at the latest collections of fashion designers. We make our choice from these. We don’t make our own fashion.

This does not apply to our thinking, our motions and our value systems. In these, we have our own standards. But when it comes to fashion, we fall in queue. Why? The designers are persuading us that if we don’t follow the latest fashion, we are backward and not up to date. Friends may laugh at us. Many of us display the latest acquisitions of designer clothes that we but at exorbitant prices. We don’t question the prices of top designers. Why?

It has to do with some amount of brainwash all of us have undergone by the marketing companies. If everyone becomes independent and makes his/her own fashion, how will they survive? Many of us buy the latest clothing, wear it once or twice and then never wear it again, because it has gone out of fashion. We spend money again and buy the latest. Fashion has affected us to such an extent that we don’t question about these issues. We simply follow the herd.

Yes, the PR companies will tell you that they have vast experience in writing Press Releases that will make yours stand out and get picked up but this is not accurate. The only way your PR is going to get picked up is if it truly is something out of the ordinary or something that no one has ever thought off.

3) Unless you plan to spend millions of dollars and then just by sheer volume your site will go ahead in the search engines, this is not a good option. Why? If you send a large number of press releases then these will be placed on the different PR companies websites main page. Since most of these home pages have a very high page rank, your site will get a boost. The question is whether this boost is worth the large amount of money you will put into the PR companies pocket. No it is not. Use that money to buy (though I do not recommend this) links from high-ranked websites and you will pay less and receive more benefit.

4) Any press release, even if it has been accepted, will remain on the different pages for just a short time, making the time and effort and even more so the amount of money you paid fruitless.

Conclusion:
A press release is useful if you wish to contact the press and maybe get some free publicity, but it is of no use if you wish to use it as a tool in order to advance your website in the search engines.

Passover, or Pesach as it is called in Hebrew, is the 8 day festival where the Jews celebrate their liberation from Egypt more than a thousand years ago. One of the most important features of this freedom festival is that the Jews cannot eat anything that is leavened. They eat unleavened bread.

They must also make sure that no bread crumbs exist in or around the house: the cupboards, the drawers, the kitchen, behind the bed, under the refrigerator and anywhere else where crumbs might have fallen through. To ensure that the house is clean of leavened food materials, the Jews have to clean the entire house from top to bottom as thoroughly as possible. And they do. During the week before Passover, house cleaning is what goes on in most Jewish houses. To answer this demand and to ease the tension, here is a joke on this subject called Impossible Timing, which highlights this cleaning tension.

Impossible Timing:
Samuel, an observant Jew, who was also a financial wizard, left Brooklyn to accept the position of Vice President in a famous broker firm in Utah, which is well known for being a Mormon state.

When they learned this, the company’s directorate applied tremendous pressure on the company’s president. “We are religious people here,” they said. “It can’t be that a Jew will handle all our money.”

The President looked at him in wonder, “Listen, Samuel, I had no idea that this was so difficult for you. I thought it was a trivial matter. But you don’t have to leave. Everything will be the same as before: you can stay here with us without converting.

Samuel returned home happy and grinning from ear to ear. He ran to his wife, who was watching Ricky Lake, “You won’t believe it! It’s a miracle. We are going back to being Jews, and I still retain my job.”

The presentation followed the designer’s fashion show which presented his latest collection of breathtaking couture designs done in opulent fabrics with lavish embellishments, each piece more dazzling than the last.

Tani Keller of Germany was named “Most Innovative Fashion Designer?in recognition of her fine leather couture collection for Spring 2006 entitled “Garden of Eden.?Each piece was an original couture creation, a feast for the eyes.

The 3-day event showed the latest collections of a select group of international as well as American designers, many presenting in New York for the first time. For a number of designers for whom English is not their first language, challenges included not only the hectic pace of putting on a fashion show, but also dealing with cultural differences and the use of interpreters. Once the makeup was in place, hair tousled just so, gowns slipped on, and models lined up, the music began to pulse, the lights went up, and the first model strode onto the catwalk. Excitement built as
the cameras began to click and the designers?creations emerged. Couture had
landed in New York with a splash from many foreign lands.

The collections had names reflecting the creative philosophies and moods of the designers.

From Latvia Anna Osmushkina presented “Heaven? weightless designs in natural fabrics hand-woven using an original technology. Embellishments in Swarovski and Kornelius precious stones, ostrich feathers, and natural furs give added dimension and luxury. Anna’s color palette is as airy as the dawn in shades of gold, bronze, rose, sky blue and white. Handcrafted shawls and capes completed a number of the graceful feminine ensembles

Galina Dacheva from Bulgaria showed her “Timeless Fashion Collection?based on the ancient craft of knitting but jazzed revved up to a modern sensibility. The collection is an amalgam of both fashion and history.

The stunning collection from Payal Jain of India was entitled simply “Blanc? designs fit for a princess. Payal was inspired by the mysterious weaves of the East and the structure of the West. A seemingly simple yet actually complex texturization. Exotic silk weaves are sculpted into flowing
silhouettes with tone on tone treatments.

Lourdes Libman presented her “Unequally Blue?collection, a combination of
tropical flavor from her native Dominican Republic and sophisticated European flair.

The Russian designer contingent presented strong collections from three gifted designers:
- Galit Couture, coming to New York from Russia via Israel, showed a group of beautiful fairy-tale bridal gowns. These dream-like creations are for the bride who wants to be the “Belle of the Ball?making an unforgettable entrance on her special day.
- Routa’s designs are visual poetry brought to life with a unique perspective on fabric and style.
- Lilia Berzon presented a group of sensuous evening designs characterized by an innovative use of fabrics and structural elements.

Among the American designers taking part in Couture Fashion Week was Philadelphia-based Dah-veese whose striking “urban couture?collection features the juxtaposition of signature denim with unexpected fabric combinations: fine silk organza, silk dupioni, silk taffeta, silk linen and cotton with an emphasis on angles, dimension, depth and texture.
